Dalia Paneer Pulao

Ingredients

  • 1/4 th cup daliya soaked for 30 mins
  • 3 clove
  • 5 peppercorns
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 " cinnamon stick
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 1 carrot chopped
  • 1/3 cup spinach
  • 100 grams paneer cubes
  • 50 gms peas
  • 1/4 tsp hing
  • 2 tsp garlic paste
  • 2 slit green chilies
  • 2 pinch sugar
  • salt to taste
  • 2 teaspoon oil

Instructions

  1. Take the paneer in a bowl and rub a pinch of salt to it.
  2. Heat 1 tsp oil in a pan and fry the paneer until light brown in color, keep aside.
  3. Heat 1 tsp oil in a vessel and add the cloves, peppercorns, cumin seeds, cinnamon, and bay leaf, hing and sauté till they begin to change color.
  4. Add garlic paste, chilies and onions and sauté till light pink.
  5. Then, add carrots, spinach, peas, and salt and cook for 2-3 minutes
  6. Add the dalia, mix well and add 1 cup water and cook.
  7. Add paneer once the dalia is half cooked.
  8. Cover and cook the dalia until its done.
