Soak yellow moong dal for 2 hrs, strain and grind to a coarse paste.

Mix wheat flour, ghee and 1/2 tsp salt in a bowl, add 1/4 cup cold water and make a dough.

Cover for 20 minutes and keep aside.

Heat oil in a pan, add cumin, asafoetida, green chilli and let it crackle.

Add onions and sauté till it gets brown.

Add the spices and cook till it starts to stick to the pan.

Add the ground dal and stir till it dries up.

Switch off the gas and let the mixture cool.

Preheat the oven at 180 degrees C.

Make 8 small and equal balls of the dough and roll it.

Place the stuffing and seal the edges.

Flatten it with your palms and bake for 20 mins.

Flip the kachoris and bake for more 20 mins or till it is crisp-cooked.

Place it on a plate and make a cavity in the centre with your thumb or a spoon.

Garnish with 2 tbsp curd, 1 tbsp sweet chutney, 1 tsp green chutney, onion, chat masala and serve.
