Crunchy Onion Nimki
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup powdered oats
- 1/2 cup whole wheat flour
- 1 tsp cumin powder
- 1 black pepper powder
- 1 tsp kalonji seeds
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 tsp oil
- whole wheat flour for rolling
Instructions

Combine all the ingredients in a deep bowl and knead into a semi-stiff dough using 3 to 4 tbsp water.

Divide the dough into 6 equal portions.

Roll out each portion into a thin round circle of 150 mm. (6”) diameter using a little whole wheat flour for rolling.

Cut each circle into 8 equal size long strips and keep aside.

Heat a non-stick tava and cook the strips a few at a time while pressing them using a cloth till they turn crisp and golden brown on both the sides.

Cool completely and serve or store in an air-tight container.
